Addendum B to January 2012 Meeting
At this week's meetings, our leadership team and department chairs decided they want to utilize the ICU program as our main focus to ensure student learning as opposed to creating after-school STAAR test interventions. Since we will not need all of our stipend money, we would like to use this money to purchase classroom technology. Therefore, we will need to make the following amendment to our Title1 budget:

Is this money that would have been used to compensate teachers for their time after school? If so, would it be possible to use it to compensate teachers who stay for ICU, especially since that IS our "intervention"? What technology are we looking at purchasing?
ReplyDeleteYes, I thought about that. The issue is that it is very little money to share with a lot of people, and no matter how we divide it up, it will not seem fair. I'm afraid it will cause hurt feelings and create divisions. We had an experience with the TEEG grant a few years ago that caused such divisions.
ReplyDeleteAs for the technology, I'm open to suggestions. Many teachers do not have enough technology in their classrooms for their students.
What is the cost of moving an ActivBoard from one room to another?
